Module 1: Seek

Start by seeking divine guidance. Understand what you need to let go of, change, pivot, or start anew in your life and business. This module focuses on three areas:

  1. Your Life and Calling: Identify what God has called you to do in this season. Reflect on whether to pursue your business full-time, part-time, or focus on other roles like motherhood. Seek wisdom through fasting, prayer, and studying scriptures.

  2. Business Resource Management: Assess which parts of your business are wasting resources. Identify subscriptions, programs, or products that are not yielding results and need refining.

  3. Thoughts and Beliefs: Align your thoughts and beliefs with God’s vision for you. Remove disempowering beliefs and focus on positive declarations about your business.

Module 2: Serve

Focus on serving your audience. Ask God how He wants you to serve His people and identify one way to do it effectively:

  1. Identify Your Audience: Determine who you are meant to serve, what problem you will solve for them, and where they seek solutions.

  2. Connect with Your Audience: Create a method to stay in touch with your audience. This could be through email captures, text messaging platforms, or direct communication.

  3. Serve with Value: Provide real, valuable solutions to your audience’s problems. Understand their needs and create a brand that resonates with them.

Module 3: Sell

Sell what your audience needs. Avoid the mistake of creating products no one asked for. Instead, follow these steps:

  1. Research: Ask your audience what they need. Conduct polls, ask questions via social media or direct communication to gather insights.

  2. Validate Your Idea: Before creating a product, test the concept with your audience to ensure interest and demand.

  3. Set Up Sales Processes: Create straightforward methods to collect payments and deliver your product. Ensure you follow up with interested customers and address their needs.

Module 4: Scale

Expand your business capacity. Depending on your business stage, you will need different levels of support:

  • $0-$15,000/year: Hire a mentor, small VA hours, or interns.

  • $15,000-$75,000/year: Employ a part-time assistant and consider outsourcing specific tasks.

  • $75,000-$250,000/year: Transition to W-2 employees and set up a proper HR structure.

  • $250,000-$1,000,000/year: Develop a robust team structure with all necessary departments.

  • $1,000,000+: Focus on leadership, growth, and planning for legacy.

Module 5: Send

Plan for your business legacy. Think about the long-term impact and potential exit strategies:

  1. Business Sale Potential: Consider if your business can be sold. If your business heavily relies on you, think about ways to make it independent.

  2. Retirement Planning: Set up financial accounts to secure your future. Utilize SEP IRAs or Solo 401Ks for retirement savings.

  3. Family Impact: Reflect on how your business decisions will affect your family. Plan for how the business can support your family's future.

Conclusion

The 5S Method is a comprehensive approach to scaling your business while staying aligned with your values and vision. By following these steps, you can create a sustainable, impactful, and profitable business that serves both you and your customers well.
