Introduction:
In the realm of entrepreneurship, where uncertainty often prevails and challenges abound, finding solace and strength in one's faith can offer a beacon of hope amidst the chaos. As Christian business owners, we navigate the complexities of the marketplace with trust in God's providence and guidance. In this journey, we draw inspiration from the wisdom found within Scripture, anchoring our businesses in its timeless truths.
Each verse becomes a guiding light, illuminating our path and infusing our endeavors with purpose. From the assurance of God's refuge and strength to the promise of abundant provision and divine guidance, our faith serves as the cornerstone upon which we build and grow our businesses. Join us as we explore nine powerful declarations rooted in Scripture that shape and define our approach to business, emboldening us to step forward with confidence in God's unfailing promises.
With that said, here are 9 declarations you can speak over your business.👊
In times of uncertainty and challenges, I find solace in the assurance that God is my refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1-3). His unwavering presence empowers me to navigate the complexities of running my business with confidence and resilience.
1God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable],
A very present and well-proved help in trouble.
2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas,
3Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains tremble at its roaring. Selah.
Every day, I am accompanied by angels who go before me, guiding me towards valuable connections and fruitful partnerships (Psalm 91:11). Their unseen presence assures me that divine guidance is ever-present in my entrepreneurial journey.
11For He will command His angels in regard to you,
To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
As a Christian business owner, I am called to be a beacon of light in the marketplace, illuminating the path for others to see and follow (Matthew 5:13-16). My business serves as a testimony to God's goodness and grace, shining brightly for all to witness.
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery].
14 “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.
In God's economy, there is always an abundance of resources available to meet my needs and sustain my business endeavors (2 Corinthians 9:8). I trust in His provision and remain steadfast in my belief that He will supply all that I require.
8And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.
Surrounded by a community of fellow Christian business women, I find strength, encouragement, and solidarity (1 Thessalonians 3:2). Together, we uplift and empower one another, sharing in each other's triumphs and challenges.
2and so we sent Timothy, our brother and God’s servant in [spreading] the good news of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you [exhorting, comforting, and establishing you] in regard to your faith,
Through the lens of faith, I believe that God can breathe life into the unseen aspects of my business, bringing forth manifestation from the intangible (Hebrews 11:1,3). With unwavering trust, I embrace the miraculous possibilities that lie ahead.
1Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. 2For by this [kind of] faith the men of old gained [divine] approval.
3By faith [that is, with an inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power, wisdom and goodness of God] we understand that the worlds (universe, ages) were framed and created [formed, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose] by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
Just as the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31, I am continually blessed with the expansion of my territory and the abundance of resources at my disposal (Proverbs 31:16). God's favor encompasses every aspect of my business, leading to growth and prosperity.
16She considers a field before she buys or accepts it [expanding her business prudently];
With her profits she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard.
With God as my guide, I embark on every endeavor with the assurance that what I start will be brought to completion (Isaiah 55:10-12). His faithfulness ensures that every plan and project undertaken in His name will bear fruit in due time.
10For as the rain and snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth,
Making it bear and sprout,
And providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me void (useless, without result),
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
12For you will go out [from exile] with joy
And be led forth [by the Lord Himself] with peace;
The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you,
As the day comes to a close, I rest peacefully in the knowledge that God is diligently at work in my business affairs (Psalm 4:8). With a heart filled with gratitude and trust, I surrender the outcomes to His capable hands, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill His promises.
8In peace [and with a tranquil heart] I will both lie down and sleep,
For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety and confident trust.
